McClain Trailers Warranty Policy And Registration
Duration:
McClain Trailers, Inc. (hereinafter “McClain”) Extends a “Limited Warranty” on each new McClain Trailer (hereinafter “Trailer”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when employed under normal conditions for the manufactured purpose and provided that the mechanical parts receive proper care as outlined in the owner’s manual for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase or three (3) years from the date of manufacturer, whichever comes first. McClain gives a 180-day “Limited Warranty” for trailers used for government use, rental fleet use, or commercial use. Subject to the requirements, exclusions, and limitations stated below, which will be strictly applied.
Coverage:
McClain warranties are limited to the original retail purchaser (hereinafter “Purchaser”) only and are not transferable to any subsequent owners of the trailer. McClain shall repair or replace, without charge, any parts found to be defective because of imperfect workmanship or materials, within a reasonable time after the trailer is returned at the purchaser’s expense to any McClain authorized distributor or dealer.
McClain warranties do not cover the costs of damage caused by normal wear and tear or caused by environmental factors (including, but not limited to chemicals, saltwater, or contact with hazardous materials).
Any items found to be modified or altered in any way shall be exempt from warranty; nor shall the warranty apply to any defect or malfunction which was caused by damage, unreasonable use, or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance.
The warranty will not cover any damage caused by overloading the trailer beyond stated capacities.
Due to the highly corrosive conditions a trailer is exposed to, rust formation/corrosion will not be covered.
Prior Written Consent Required:
No reimbursement will be made to any dealer or owner for repairs made without the prior written consent and approval of McClain Trailers Inc. All reimbursements are to be at McClain’s sole discretion.
